At First Baptist, we celebrate two ordinances -Communion and Baptism – following Jesus’ example. We practice believer’s baptism, inviting individuals to be baptized when they choose to follow Christ. Baptism by full immersion symbolizes dying to an old life and rising to a new life with Jesus. Whether you were baptized as a child or are exploring baptism for the first time, we welcome you to take this step in your faith journey.

At First Baptist, we joyfully celebrate new life—through birth, adoption, or foster care—by inviting parents to dedicate their children before the congregation. This act of thanksgiving includes promises from parents, grandparents, and the church to nurture the child in the ways of Jesus. Unlike baptism, dedication is a commitment of guidance and community support as children grow in faith.
